CAN TOTALENERGIES 2021 LEAP CREATIVE STUDIO HONORE AU CAMEROUN

« Monsieur ROSHAN Soomarchun et Monsieur Fabien MAYER  ont été élevés au rang de Chevalier de l’ordre de la valeur  au nom du Chef de l’Etat par le Ministre des sports et de l’Education Physique dans la salle de conférences de son Ministère ». Les cérémonies d’ouverture et de clôture de la CAN TOTALENERGIES 2021 ont connu un succès exceptionnel. Ce qui a valu au Cameroun de remporter des distinctions à l’occasion des GLOBAL EVENTEX AWARDS le 03 mai 2022 aux Etats – Unis d’Amerique et des BEA AWARDS le 26 novembre 2022 en Italie, donnant ainsi au Cameroun, la première place en matière d’évènement sportif Africain le plus primé au monde. En reconnaissance de cette prestigieuse et impressionnante prestation le Président de la république a bien voulu décerner à Monsieur ROSHAN Soomarchun et Fabien MAYER les médailles  de Chevalier de l’Ordre de la Valeur à titre exceptionnel. La cérémonie de remise de ces distinctions  s’est déroulée le mardi 16 mai 2023 à 11 h sous la présidence du Professeur Narcisse MOUELLE KOMBI Ministre des Sports et de L’Education Physique et Représentant Personnel du Chef de l’Etat dans la salle de conférence du Ministère des sports et de l’Education Physique.    Après l’exécution de l’hymne national par la fanfare de l’INJS,  le Ministre a pris la parole pour son mot de circonstance. Il a ainsi rappelé le contexte qui a valu au Cameroun  ces prestigieuses distinctions et a salué le professionnalisme du partenaire du COCAN, LEAP CREATIVE STUDIO qui a contribué de manière significative et déterminante à cet heureux aboutissement. Il a ensuite procédé à la remise des médailles aux heureux récipiendaires dans une ambiance solennelle suivie de photos souvenirs.

Prospection : Une délégation du Ministère togolais des Sports et des Loisirs en mission au Cameroun

Conduite par Monsieur AGANO KODZO, Secrétaire  Général du Ministère des Sports et des Loisirs du Togo, cette délégation  comprend trois autres hauts responsables en charge de l’Education Physique, du Sport Scolaire et Universitaire et des Infrastructures. Elle a été reçue en audience le 16 MAI 2023 en début de matinée par le Minsep, le Pr. Narcisse MOUELLE KOMBI. Le Chef de la délégation togolaise s’est dit impressionné par le dynamisme du mouvement sportif camerounais sur le double plan des infrastructures modernes et futuristes et des performances sportives de qualité. Le Togo voulant faire du sport, un instrument de création de richesses et de développement socio-économique, les responsables togolais voudraient  s’inspirer de l’expérience camerounaise pour l’atteinte de ces objectifs. Il s’est enfin félicité de l’accueil et de l’hospitalité du Cameroun. Le Ministre des Sports et de l’Education Physique, tout en remerciant les responsables togolais sur le choix et la confiance portés sur le Cameroun pour leur mission de prospection, a affirmé  que des instructions ont été données à tous ses collaborateurs afin de se rendre disponibles et permettre ainsi aux membres de la délégation togolaise, de profiter au mieux de leur séjour en terre camerounaise. Ces hauts responsables ont également été les témoins de la cérémonie de remise des médailles à M. Roshan Soomarchun et M. Fabien Mayer, deux partenaires du COCAN 2021 dont l’apport incommensurable a permis au Cameroun, d’organiser avec succès des événements sportifs d’envergure. Pendant leur mission de cinq jours, les membres de la délégation togolaise auront des échanges avec les responsables sectoriels du MINSEP. Ils  rendront également des visites de courtoisie à certains responsables de structures relevant du MINSEP. Ils visiteront  certaines infrastructures sportives, notamment le stade Omnisports Ahmadou Ahidjo et le Complexe Sportif d’Olembe.

AWARD CEREMONY AND SOLEMN PRESENTATION OF PRESTIGIOUS PRIZES WON BY THE TOTALENERGIES AFCON CAMEROON 2021 IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND ITALY

21st EDIDTION OF THE WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL AFRICA NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIP « CAVB CAMEROON 2023 » : MEMBERS OF THE LOCAL ORGANISING COMMITEE INSTALLED

The Minister of Sports and Physical Education proceeded on Tuesday, 9th May 2023, to the official installation of members of the Local Organising Committee of the  WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL AFRICA NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIP « CAVB CAMEROON 2023 » appointed by Decision no 2023/112 of May 4th 2023 at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex. The ceremony which saw the presence of the Governor of the Center Region, the President of the National Olympic and Sports Committee, the President of the National Paralympic Committee as well as top officials of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education, the appointees and few athletes of the National team of volleyball, kick started with the singing of the national anthem at exactly 2.45pm and was broadcast live on CRTV SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT. M. SAMUEL ZO’ONA proceeded with the reading of the appointment decision which directly gave way to the installation speech of the Minister of Sports and Physical Education. In His address, the Minister begun by showing gratitude to the Head of State who gave His very distinguished consent for the organization of the 21st edition of the  WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL AFRICA NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIP « CAVB CAMEROON 2023 ». Thus, he reassured the President of the volleyball federation of the unfailing support of the Government to him as the newly elected president. Also, he called on all the actors, to place the organisation under the cover of unity, peace, love, acceptance, togetherness, and openness so as to ensure a fruitful reign and an abundant harvest in terms of results. He further mentioned while inviting all those present at the installation ceremony that the event to be organized on the 16th of May 2023 as from 5pm. This event being none other than the presentation and solemn handing over to Cameroon, of the two prizes won by our beloved country at the Global Eventex Awards In the United States OF America and at the BEA Awards in Italy.         It’s only after reminding everyone that Cameroon had become a privileged destination for the organisation of major sporting events that he ended his statement, thereof giving place to the family picture with the newly appointees. The ceremony ended with a family picture followed by a cocktail offered by the Minister to his guests.

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF SPORT FOR DEVELOPMENT AND PEACE

MINSEP and UNESCO celebrate sport.        In the frame of  festivities marking the celebration of the 10th edition of the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace under the theme «Sports Practice: A guarantor and vector of peace, inclusion, integrity, health and a lever for sustainable development”, a sport walk and other activities were organized on April 5, 2023 in the presence of the Minister of Sports and Physical Education at the Yaoundé Multipurpose Sports Complex.          The activities marking the celebration of this event started at the Yaoundé 20th May Boulevard with a march led by the Minister of Sport and Physical Education and other personalities present at the 20th May Boulevard. The sport walk which started around 7:30 am, ended around 8:10 am at the Yaoundé Multipurpose Sports Complex with an aerobic session followed by a speech made by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Professor Narcisse Mouelle Kombi. In his speech, the minister welcomes all those present and beckons them to continue being massively present in all the activities that will be carried out in the two days celebration. He equally thanked the Governor of the Center Region for all the security measures put in place for a smooth and secured celebration. A family picture was taken marking the end of the sportive walk.       Apart from the sport walk, other activities were carried out like Futsal and Handball. In the women’s futsal match, MINSEP Women won 1goal to zero against MELTING POINT. While in the men’s category, two matches were played. In the first match, MINSEP defeated a selection made up of players from DRSEP and DDEP 3goals to null and in the second match, DASEP emerged the winner after trashing a selection of players from sports infrastructures in Yaoundé by 3 goals to 2. In women’s first handball match opposing women from all DASEPS and those from all sports infrastructure, DASEP won 11 goals to 5 and the second women handball match was opposing women from MINSEP and those from DRSEP and DDEP. The score at the end of the encounter was 17 goals to 11 in favor of MINSEP Women. The activities to commemorate this event will continue on April 6, 2023 at the Yaoundé Multipurpose Sports Complex with notably sporting events, a round table as from 10:00 am, and an important ceremony to hand over sports equipment and awards to some personalities who have made outstanding contributions to the promotion of sports as from 4.pm.
